# Straight edges:

Straight edges are most appropriate for clean-lined designs and look great on both thin and thick granite slabs. If you have intricately-patterned granite or want to highlight a certain element of your kitchen dcor, the straight edge will work best for you as it will blend with the room and won’t detract from the beauty of the stone or the other lovely details in your kitchen.

 

# Transitional

Certain countertop edges go well with both traditional and contemporary kitchens. The style is usually called transitional. One of them is Half-round as it is deeply rounded with a bottom corner. It is perfect for those areas that get a lot of wear and tear and the other is Full Bullnose which is completely round from top to bottom. It can work perfectly in any space but is not popular in some regards.

 

# Traditional

Ornate profiles work well in traditional spaces.

The Ogee edge has a classic, decorative look that evokes the ornate elegance of the Renaissance and pairs nicely with a traditional kitchen. It has a groove on a rounded bottom shape results from the two curves and a concave radius of the ogee edge. The curve can be deep and dramatic or can have a subtle line.

Have in mind though that the ogee edge can make the counter look and feel very heavy, so it is not recommended for smaller rooms. Besides, the curves and grooves of the ogee style require greater care and effort when it comes to cleaning.

 

# Stacked/Laminated

The granite fabricators can laminate two pieces of granite together to give countertop a rick look. It is possible to do very ornate cuts that combine two or more profiles from above.
